Bellingham Race Series

Get ready for the 2014 NSKA race series. Mark your calendars for the first Saturday of each month through the summer. The first race is this coming Saturday, May 3rd here in Bellingham. We have a fleet of boards for the race so all you need is your own kite.

The race will be officially called on Saturday morning at 7am and we should have good info on Friday for Saturdays forecast.

Further to Josh’s announcement, here is the 2014 NSKA Race Series Format and Schedule.

· The location and time of the race will be wind dependent. The race coordinator will post location and time the week prior to the race.

· A “Go/ No Go” post on this site will be provided at 7:00 AM the morning of the race.

· If the race is called off because of no wind, it will automatically be rescheduled for the following week, run by the same race coordinator. If there is no wind on the second week, the race is cancelled.

· Boards will be provided on a first come first served basis but numerous heats can and will be run depending on the number of participants.

· Points are cumulative. Prizes will be handed out at the end of the year.

· Mentoring of new riders and a new rider course to be set up after the main race if there is enough interest.

May 3rd: Race Coordinator: Josh, with help from Andy and Frank

June 7th: Race Coordinator: Andy. The race will also be followed by a Swap Meet and a BBQ. Details to follow.

July 12th: Race Coordinator: Andrew.

August 2nd: Race Coordinator: Shad

September 13th: Race Coordinator: Cavin

October 4th: Race Coordinator: Paul
