tj page

loki, with so much traffic hitting tjs everyday, would it not be a better solution to embed it on a page on pskite so that users can just click on a "forecast" page and check it out?
just wondering if something like that is possible.

I've already done so for my android app. I did this to post-process the images into something formatted for mobile and prevent having to re-download the images every time someone accessed the page.

Have you actually heard TJ say that it's causing him a problem? People don't shun traffic like they used to since bandwidth is pretty cheap these days.

I haven't the slightest idea if its a problem or not.
anyways, I was merely throwing it out for consideration the opportunity to embed on a page.
I know for most of the kiting community they understand how to find the information on other websites.
it was just a thought I had for some added value for pskite.

I could do that, but it'd be content stealing. I know TJ isn't advertising anything on his page, but it's probably proper etiquette just linking to his page on the wind and weather page.

That said, I could probably revamp the wind and weather page to make it a bit more useful. Hmm...

Hey loki,

is there anyway to make the TJs page on your android app be a user selected time advance? on my phone, the hours scroll through so fast I have a tough time with it. If I could manually select to move to the next hour, I think that would be dope.

Also, is there anyway to have more of the hours selected? As soon as it gets to 5pm on mine I get a small X in the corner and nothing else. Having it go to like 7pm would be super duper.

Thanks
your friend from up north who lives here now.

The 5pm deal is because TJ isn't running the models for those times. I don't remember that happening last year, but hopefully it'll change when the days get longer in a week. Otherwise, I'll probably email him about it. Bham goes until 6pm, then 7pm is broken. Seattle goes until 4pm, then 5,6,7pm are broken.

As far as the speed goes - how fast is it for you? Right now I have it set to 600ms, because that's how I liked it. I can change that to be a bit slower. Buttons are easy too, but that takes a bit more effort.

North? You live in bham now? Tell santa hi.
