(FIXED) General discussion for PSWind beta testers

Postby Loki » Tue Apr 27, 2010 8:55 pm

Ok, beta testers. You should have access to this forum. Let's discuss what you're getting with your emails and SMS's here so I don't have a million emails to keep track of. Also, you can test between yourselves as well and keep me out of the loop to see if this is really hands off or not.

got my text message tonight about one minute ago.can't wait for this this summer. It has saved me a drive to Jetty in the past. Looking forward to more saves this summer.

Jeff, Thanks so much for putting in the time to get this baby fired back up.

Just sent my first message and got it as an email and a text. I would be fine to just get it as a SMS message, but the email is sweet too.

sweet.

Got them as well. Do we have the option of turning off the emails and only getting the text messages?

Every request costs a beer. ;)

Yeah - I've made it fully configurable. Your email alerts have been disabled.

Jeff, I am fully down for buying a beer(s) for you, but can you make it so that each user can configure their alerts w/o having to involve you? Just to take some work off your shoulders?

If not, what are the options? Email & text, email only, text only?

Yes, I can do that, but it will open up security issues. In order to make it safe, it'll take a bit of work. I'll add a new bug.

4 options:
email + text message
email only
text only
send sms only (you're in the system, so you are allowed to send messages. For people who prefer to read alerts on the website once I get it working.)
