So at the beach the other the topic of hand placement was discussed. I always recommend placing you hands on the bar as close to center as possible, especially with small kites. As it doesn't take much of a mistake to become a potencial disaster especially while launching and landing. Have fun and be safe out there!

Surfboard tip today, for more aggressive turns take your back hand off the bar just before you initiate the turn. This allows your shoulders to open up giving more leverage and better balance to react , it also helps for landing strapless airs as it helps keep your weight shifted further back on landing. Make sure your front hand is placed near center on the bar before attempting. Hope you get out on the water somewhere soon!

Next step consists in plugging that freed back hand in the water down-wind and rotate around your "pivot" back arm. If by chance your feet happen to be on the lip of a 3 foot wave.... this becomes a very aggressive move :D

PS: I wish we had the "like this post" thumb-up feature on this forum. There are so many tips I would like to tag with a big +1 ! Thanks to all who contribute!

Just make sure you don't plug your arm in too soon. it feels like your gonna get your shoulder ripped from its socket ;)

Also I have felt muscle strain in my hammies thru this turn so now I stretch my legs very chance I get.

Been having trouble with my knees getting old lately and my muscles remaining tight from my desk job, now that the winter winds have returned its time to get back into shape. I came across this site NeilaRey.com its a totally free site with what I think are great workouts, plus nutrition tips. Its bodyweight training so no equipment and no gym needed. I have been able to work these into my day at work and finish the evening off with the higher intensity workouts. I am on day four and I am really liking them.
