If anyone is wondering about this, http://www.nwkite.com/forums/t-31373.html - Its the shit,
Just wanted to tell you it also works on north bars. Ive worn out 3 depower ropes already but as nak says, it doesn't even show sings of ware after a 2 month of heavy use. and it costs like 2 $. Things I did different- dont use masking tape. The only thing that will piss you off is the Rope coming off the rod or the masking tape peeling back half way locking up the whole process . I took a grinder or file and made a divot almost on the end of the stainless steel rod, slip the end of rope over the end and wrap some heavy thread to lock it in the divot. On north bars put the depower cleat on first(not up side down) , before you insert stainless rod. I also didn't use the glue.
I'm also going to be making my sliding harness rope like this. Will not stretch or ware and its rigid , stiff and holds its shape.
