Hello! I'm a beginner female also looking for a buddy in the Tacoma area. I live just north of Gig Harbor. I've made the trek up to Jetty Island a couple of times and it's 6 hours round trip, so not something I can do every day. I only have one kite so far - a 12M Naish Ride. I hope to be riding more consistently before the winter and am planning to get a smaller kite.

Dont hesitate to go alone to launches. You will find others to be helpful and encouraging. In my opinion, half the fun of kite boarding is the other kite boarders. It is a great crowd*.

If you two are coming up to Jetty sometime, feel free to drop us a line. In fact, it should be good tmrw, if you're up for the trek and have a paddlecraft! Its always nice to have more women on the water! facebook.com/Kb4GirlsSeattlePugetSound :happy3:

Why is it that we are seeing these odd new member first posts that reply to old subjects? In this case it is just repeating (not quoting) an earlier post.
