I went by Lake Tye the other day, hoping to take pictures of the construction in progress.
There is none. Zero. Zilch. Just a bunch of noisy ducks. Sorry, I'm sure they are very nice ducks for you birders out there.

I contacted the Monroe City Council.

The project was discussed at yesterday’s council meeting.
Listen to the audio, 1/20/15, from minute 36:30 to minute 53:00
http://monroewa.gov/Archive.aspx?AMID=53

The contractor, H3O, is in breach of contract.
They (H3O) seem to be a bunch of amateurs.
The City Council didn’t do due diligence.

Invest with care. Extreme care.

They did enough to get the contract, now they just need some money and a professional developer like Stoner to come in and make it happen. Do it Daniel! This market is ripe for the NW. I know a bunch of people in San Francisco that drive 2.5 hours to hit the cable near Sacramento. We've got a ton of wake boarders in the area that would drive 30 minutes to hit this place. Bow lake is wicked expensive and a two tower cable, this would be legit.

IF YOU BUILD IT THEY WILL COME

saw an article in the locally printed Tribute newspaper, article was not online but these were:

hyperlink
Administrator Brazel provided a brief update on the H3O contract and East Monroe project in response to inquiry by Councilmember Goering.

hyperlink
Mr. Greg Dick and Mr. Brad Smith presented an updated site plan and proposed business plan for a phased approach regarding the Wake Park Project, including projected revenues and expenditures. General dialogue ensued regarding: phase one and two construction plan; the bioswale and retention pond; projected revenues and expenditures; proposed contract amendments; and attendance projections.

Staff will work with H3O and the City Attorney’s Office on a proposed contract amendment incorporating the proposed business plan and phased construction, and bring back for Council’s consideration at a future Meeting.

A recent (6/10/15) update in the Everett Herald.
http://www.heraldnet.com/article/201506 ... /150619958

Supposedly next summer. Not taking any bets though.

"Smith and his business partners, Greg Dick and Chris Hogan, said they started H3O six years ago to bring a cable park to the Northwest. Now, they want the council to approve the new plan, which could result in riders on the water by summer 2016."
