recycling kites?

There used to be some resources for recycling old kites that don't fly anymore. Anyone know of such organizations or recyclers?

Laurel Eastman converts them into bags and sells them to raise money for a non-profit in the DR. Drop them off in Cabarete or find someone going.

If your looking for a local option, I promise to re-use the material. In the past I have made sails for a dinghy and bags from old kites.
