snowkiting st helens

hey guys, just took my sled out for the first time this past monday.
a crew of five came up thru marblemount sno park on the south side. our intent was to access the plains of abraham however the snow coverage was too bare.
we found a good spot to rig and had a great afternoon up on the mountain. surprisingly, this spot is closer to my house than hood river. just need to access it with a sled

Sno-kiting with Mount Hood in the backdrop is priceless.
Major score with B-Rad and the homies!
Thanks for sharing the stoke.

Baker last Friday was incredible. No wind or kites but 3' of untracked snow. :o Now I want to figure out the wind forecasting for that place.

Just watched this video again and I am really looking forward to the winter!
I've done my fair share of hiking :banghead:
hoping my new sled will just fly me to the top :angel8:
Have you tugged your kite today?

hey dan if you want to hit plains of abraham, give me a shout. we should have it dialed this year. I got rid of the sled but just upgraded to a timber sled snow bike.
and yes jwok, that was an old wake skate I mounted on top of a kid's snowboard. super fun to ride strapless but really challenging to ride it on a hill. much easier on flat terrain. feels like skimboarding.
